Giants’ Home Power Outage Quite Believable

Okay, so that’s pretty unbelievable. But it’s not even close to the record. After the jump, one of my all-time favorite bits of trivia ...

In 1945, the Washington Senators hit only 27 home runs all season.

That’s not the all-time favorite.

Wanna guess how many of those home runs came at the Senators’ home ballpark, Griffith Stadium?

One.

But wait, there’s more.

That lone home homer was an inside-the-park job, hit by old Joe Kuhel in this game. All season long, the Senators didn’t hit a single ball over the fence.

You could look it up.
