LSU junior running back Alfred Blue will miss the team's game against Auburn with a knee injury. He suffered an injury in LSU's win over Idaho and could be sidelined for an extended period of time, according to Randy Rosetta of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Blue had 40 carried for 270 yards and two touchdowns in the three games prior to his injury, and was starting to develop some momentum in regards to his NFL Draft stock. The TIgers already used a committee approach in the backfield, so the 2012 season could get away from Blue if the slew of talented backups can effectively pick up the slack.

LSU is talented enough and has enough depth to overcome this injury, but the question is whether Blue has it in him to overcome this injury and salvage his draft stock. Keep in mind, Blue is still a junior, so he has time to rebound. He’s a dual-threat back with solid vision and decent athleticism.
