The Los Angeles Angels scored eight runs in the fourth inning and cruised to a 11-3 win over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday Night. Jered Weaver went seven innings and gave up three runs as he picked up his 18th win of the season.

The Rangers scored three in the third inning as Mike Napoli hit a solo home run and Ian Kinsler hit a two-run shot to give Texas a 3-1 lead. That was the last time the Rangers would cross the plate as Weaver settled down.

The Angels exploded for eight runs in the fourth. Chris Iannetta had a two-run single to tie up the game. After a Mike Trout walk, Tanner Scheppers replaced Ryan Dempster and immediately hit Erick Aybar with a pitch. With Torii Hunter batting, Scheppers threw a wild pitch that scored Iannetta. Napoli threw home and Iannetta slid into Scheppers, who was hurt on the play.

Trout came home to score on the throwing error by Napoli. Hunter would draw a walk off of Mark Lowe, who replaced Scheppers. Kendrys Morales followed with an infield hit to score Aybar. Howie Kendrick followed with a single to score Hunter. Vernon Wells hit a sac fly to bring home Morales and Alberto Callaspo doubled to score Kendrick, before Mark Trumbo mercifully flew out to end the inning.

Josh Hamilton left the game in the fourth inning due to "sinus issues."

The Angels gained a game on both the Rangers and the Athletics, who lost to Detroit earlier in the evening.
