Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman has battled shoulder woes all year, with a stint on the disabled list in late April. But he has managed to play in 130 of the Nats' 146 games so far this season, and has hit a decent .284/.350/.474 with 22 home runs and 84 RBI; in September so far, he's even better: .298/.349/.614 with five home runs and 15 RBI.
Ryan Zimmerman Could Have Offseason Shoulder Surgery
The Nats’ star third baseman has been battling shoulder issues all year.
The shoulder is still giving him enough trouble that he has to have treatment:

It’s a credit to Zimmerman that he’s been able to play as well as he has, fighting an injury that has likely affected him both in the field and at bat, and he’s hoping to play deep into October this year, too.
