The Baltimore Ravens added some depth to their secondary and announced the signing of safety James Ihedigbo on Sunday.

Ihedigbo, 28, made 12 starts for the New England Patriots in 2011, where he made 69 tackles and had one pass deflection. He was just cut by the Patriots on Friday, and the Ravens began their pursuit of him immediately after.

Prior to being with the Patriots in 2011, he played three years with the New York Jets, where he made 82 tackles and five sacks.

There has been no word on what other move will be made to free up the 53rd roster spot to make room for Ihedigbo.
