The San Francisco Giants certainly have their share of neigh-sayers. Now that the playoff chase is entering September and breaking into a full gallop, the Giants are one of the teams hoping to harness a hot streak. Their fans are even showing up on the road, trying to help spur the team to victory down the home stretch.
Hey Giants Fans, Why The Long Face?
On Sunday, some fans showed up at Wrigley Field for the Giants' series finale against the Chicago Cubs. They seemed pretty hot to trot.
I think that one on the right is meant to be Harry Caray. Horsey Caray? Harry Horsey? Whatever. I’m not looking a gift joke in the mouth.
The Giants blew an early lead, but they must have been feeling their oats as they rallied to win the game in the ninth inning. The Cubs were unable to trot out sufficient offense to win at the end and were saddled with the loss. Perhaps it was these horse-fans that were able to stirrup the will to win in the San Francisco players.
Wherever these fans are staying in Chicago, I hope they booked the bridle suite.
