A poor start by Paul Maholm and a six-run deficit were not enough to stop the Atlanta Braves on Sunday, as Chipper Jones's walk-off home run completed the six-run comeback to stop the Braves' losing streak at three and salvage the final game in a three-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies.

After Maholm gave up seven runs and six hits in two-plus innings pitched, the Braves were looking at a 7-1 deficit with Phillies starter Cole Hamels cruising thorough his first five innings, giving up just an RBI double to Reed Johnson in the second inning.

In the sixth, the Braves began to break through, scoring two runs on another base knock from Johnson, who drove in two more with a single to center field.

With Hamels out of the game, the Braves were unable to get to the Phillies bullpen until the ninth inning, when they scored five runs on the strength of a bases-loaded Martin Prado double to drive in two and then the three-run blast from Jones to drive in the game-winning run.
