It was a big night in MLS for supporter’s tifos. After a disappointing no-show by the Timbers Army during NBC’s national broadcast of the Portland/Seattle match, other groups decided to try and pick up the slack. One group did quite well, the other had spelling issues.
Last Night in MLS Supporter Tifos
For the 1906 Ultras in San Jose, it was a wild success as they managed to create a beautiful tifo that essentially accused the Timbers Army of being Merritt Paulson’s sheep. Wherever you stand on the message, you have to admit (even begrudgingly) that it was quite the display.
As for some fans in New York, things didn't go quite as well thanks to a glaring typo that has been written up by Deadspin and tweeted about by Keith Olbermann (that's random). Now it's not a bad tifo, it's actually kind of funny...but there's a major problem on the first banner at the top.
Yo’re...whoops.
