Minnesota Twins left fielder Josh Willingham will undergo an MRI on his left shoulder Tuesday after slamming into the outfield fence Monday night while reaching for what ended up being a solo home run, per the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Willingham appeared to be in no visible pain after the seventh-inning play but was replaced in left field by Chris Herrmann the following inning. The injury is not thought to be anything serious -- Willingham is listed as day-to-day -- but the team wants to be sure there is no damage to the shoulder.
The 33-year-old Willingham has been one of the Twins’ most reliable bats in his first season with the club. The Hammer is batting .260/.366/.524 with a career-high 35 home runs and 110 RBI in 145 games on the season.
