Nebraska Cornhusker wide receiver Tim Marlowe has a broken clavicle and may be out until the end of October, according to Adam Rittenburg and Brian Bennett of ESPN.com.

Marlowe left the game with an apparent shoulder injury after failing to bring in a pass from quarterback Taylor Martinez in the second quarter of Saturday’s game versus Southern Mississippi. If indeed the injury does keep Marlowe out through October, he would miss six games.

Marlowe, a senior, has been limited in his offensive action at Nebraska, catching only 12 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown in his collegiate career, but instead has been used primarily as a return man. He returned eight punts and ten kickoffs in 2011, and had one kick return for 30 yards in Saturday’s game before he left with injury.
