Matt Kemp hit two solo home runs as the Dodgers defeated the Rockies 3-0 in Los Angeles Saturday night. Kemp started the scoring with a home run off of Rockies starter Tyler Chatwood in the fourth inning. Later in the inning, A.J. Ellis singled home Hanley Ramirez to make it 2-0 Dodgers. Kemp hit another homer in the eighth off of Rex Brothers to give the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. It was Kemp's 22nd long ball of the season.

Meanwhile, the Dodger pitching had it on cruise control. Joe Blanton pitched six scoreless innings to pick up his 10th victory of the season. Ronald Belisario, Kenley Jansen and Brandon League all threw hitless innings to close down the game.

Combined with the Cardinals loss to the Nationals, the Dodgers are now only two games back with four to play for the second National League wildcard spot. The Dodgers have one more game with the Rockies before closing out the regular season at home against the San Francisco Giants. The Cardinals have one more game with the Nationals before playing three games against the Cincinnati Reds.
