Angel Di Maria and Ezequiel Lavezzi are proving to be perfect flank partners for the World Player of the Year, while Rodrigo Braña and Fernando Gago should provide some stability in midfield behind them.
Paraguay like to sit deep and hit long balls to their strikers on the counter, a strategy which could prove effective on Friday. Argentina are going to commit numbers forward and their defense, while talented, is not spectacular. The Paraguayans will have opportunities to catch their opponents on the counter if they do not concede early.
