Mississippi State vs. Auburn NFL Draft watch notes

With a relatively week slate of college football games, fans will a couple of SEC match-ups to look forward to. One of the biggest NFL Draft match-ups of the week features Mississipi State against Auburn. Two middle of the road SEC teams feature some interesting NFL Draft prospects.

The defenses will be the story in today's game. Johnthan Banks of Mississipi State is the player to watch on Saturday. he is the most talented NFL Draft prospect on the field, and it will be interesting to see how Auburn's young quarterback Kiehl Frazier stacks up.

Mississippi State 2013 NFL Draft Prospects to Watch

Offense: No. 17 - Tyler Russell, QB - 6'4'', 220 (Junior), No. 61 - Gabe Jackson, OG - 6'4'', 320 (Junior), No. 27 LaDarius Perkins, RB - 5'11'', 190 (Junior)

Defense: No. 13 - Johnthan Banks, CB - 6'2'', 185 (Senior), No. 97 Josh Boyd, DT - 6'3'', 300 (Senior), No. 10 Cameron Lawrnece, OLB - 6'3'', 230 (Senior), No. 25 - Corey Broomfield, CB - 5'1'', 180 (Senior)

Matchup of the Night: Mississippi State’s Tyler Russell (QB, No. 17) against Auburn’s secondary

Tyler Russell was a highly regarded recruit, but is off the radar due to inconsistency in his career to this point. This will be his first big test of the 2012 season, as both T'Sharvan Bell and Chris Davies are solid cornerbacks on the outside. This could be a statement game for Russell.

Question of the Night: How will Auburn’s offensive line handle Mississippi State’s front seven?

Auburn’s offensive line is one of its biggest question marks. Mississippi State has the personel to exploit that with a talented front seven. Auburn senior guard John Sullen will have to anchor his offensive line and cancel out talented defensive tackle Josh Boyd.
