The Los Angeles Dodgers will be without Matt Kemp for the rest of their important series with the NL West-leading San Francisco Giants, as the star center fielder will undergo an MRI on his shoulder Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Matt Kemp Sidelined, Scheduled For MRI On Shoulder
Dodgers CF Matt Kemp will undergo an MRI on his shoulder Saturday and miss the rest of the series against the San Francisco Giants.

The Dodgers hope the injury is nothing more than a shoulder bruise, but want to get the test done to be completely sure.
Kemp injured the shoulder Aug. 28 when he went crashing into the wall in the first inning of a game against the Colorado Rockies. He left the game two plays later.
The series against the Giants is a crucial one for the Dodgers if they are to continue to entertain hopes of an NL West title in 2012. Los Angeles fell 5.5 games behind San Francisco after a 5-2 loss in the series opener Friday night.
