South Carolina Gamecocks wide receiver Ace Sanders appears to have announced he's turning pro. Sanders made the announcement, which seems to indicate that he'll forego the final year of his college eligibility to declare for the NFL Draft, on his Twitter account.

It seems South Carolina Gamecocks wide receiver Ace Sanders has declared for the NFL Draft and will pass on his senior season in college.

Sanders had originally looked like he was coming back via a post on Instagram, but now it appears that he's reneged on that decision and will be moving onto the NFL. Sanders reportedly told some of his teammates that he would be moving onto the NFL.
Sanders had a solid 2012 season, compiling 977 all-purpose yards and averaging over 12.7 yards per play. Sanders caught 45 passes for 531 yards and nine touchdowns. Sanders also did plenty of damage as a punt returner, returning 28 punts for 429 yards and two touchdowns. Sanders really came on near the end of 2012, registering a combined 326 all-purpose yards in the final two games against Clemson and Michigan. Apparently Sanders got good enough feedback to determine that declaring for the draft was the right thing to do.
Wide receivers coach Steve Spurrier Jr. might not have been too pleased with the decision of his top prospect to declare early:
