Earl Weaver, sadly now late of this realm, is best known for what he’s doing in this photo from about 1970: arguing with on-field authority figures. Of course, what he was even better at was winning ballgames. He remains one of the few managers about whom it can be said that he really made a positive difference in his team’s won-loss record.
