Despite swirling rumors that he’s on his way to the NFL, Oregon head coach Chip Kelly is only focused on the present heading into Thursday night’s Fiesta Bowl match-up with Kansas State.
Chip Kelly rumors: Oregon coach focused on the present
Rumors have swirled for weeks that Chip Kelly will leave Oregon for the NFL following Thursday night’s Fiesta Bowl, but right now the Oregon head coach is only focusing on the present. Reports indicate that both the Browns and Eagles have interest in the fourth-year head coach.

Here’s what Kelly had to say about his current job status at Tuesday’s Fiesta Bowl press conference, with his comments coming via The Oregonian:
“I have no idea what the future holds, but I know we have a game tomorrow night and I’ll be there,” Kelly said.
For weeks it’s been rumored that the Fiesta Bowl will be Kelly’s final game at Oregon, with a handful of NFL teams showing interest in the fourth-year coach. It has been reported that Kelly is a top target for both the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles, each of whom fired their coach on Monday.
And if Kelly were to leave Eugene, it would cap an incredible run for him at the school.
Kelly enters the Fiesta Bowl with a 45-7 overall record in Eugene, including three straight Pac-12 Championships from 2009-2011.
In 2010, the Ducks made it all the way to the BCS National Championship Game, before eventually losing to Auburn.
