2013 Pro Bowl: C.J. Spiller, Kyle Williams headed to AFC roster

Two Buffalo Bills were added to the Pro Bowl’s AFC roster on Monday, as C.J. Spiller and Kyle Williams replaced Ray Rice and Haloti Ngata.

USA TODAY Sports

With Pro Bowlers Ray Rice and Haloti Ngata earning a trip to the Super Bowl on Sunday night, two Buffalo Bills players were tabbed as substitutes on the AFC roster. Running back C.J. Spiller and defensive tackle Kyle Williams will replace the unavailable Ravens.

Spiller, a Clemson product in his third season with the Bills, had a career year and is making his first Pro Bowl appearance. He took advantage of a heavier work load due to Fred Jackson's injuries, posting 1,244 yards and six touchdowns on 207 carries. Spiller led the NFL with 6.0 yards per rush, and he reached the 1,000-yard mark on just 154 carries, the fewest since the Chicago Bears' Ricky Feathers in 1934.

Williams, a seventh-year veteran out of LSU, is making his second trip to the Pro Bowl. He compiled five sacks and six tackles for loss to go along with 46 tackles this season. Those numbers bounced back nicely after Williams played in only five games in 2011 due to a lingering foot injury.

The 2013 Pro Bowl is set for Sunday, Jan. 27. Coverage from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, is set for 7 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on NBC.
