Rangers’ Chris Kreider day-to-day with ankle injury
The New York Rangers rookie is day-to-day with a bone chip in his ankle.

Kreider's rookie season has gotten off to a rough start, as he was scratched from Thursday's loss against the Philadelphia Flyers and now will miss at least one more game with the ankle injury. Kreider has struggled on the ice as well, attempting to adjust coach John Tortorella's system after a big year with Boston College last season.
Kreider has no points and is minus-2 in three games this season.
The young forward was called up for the Rangers playoff run last season, scoring five goals and seven assists in 18 games. Kreider had just five goals and seven assists in 33 games with the Connecticut Whale of the AHL during the lockout.
The Rangers recalled forward Benn Ferriero on Saturday from the Whale, after he was acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins in a trade on Thursday.
