Miami Heat point guard Mario Chalmers, who averages fewer than eight points and four assists per game, recently told FOX Sports' Chris Tomasson that he's one of the 10 best point guards in the NBA. Better yet: he thinks he's right in the middle of the pack on that list.
Mario Chalmers thinks he’s a top-10 NBA point guard
Mario Chalmers recently said that he’s a top-10 point guard. Here’s one way he could be right.

“I’d say top 10,” the Miami Heat fifth-year man said of where he ranks. “I’m not in the lower part (of the top 10), I’m in the middle part. I just have confidence in myself. I think I can compete with the best of them.”
Everybody is jumping on Chalmers for those comments, but I think they have merit. Here is the list of top point guards in the NBA, according to the players themselves, their coaches and their teammates.
1. Chris Paul
1. Derrick Rose
1. Rajon Rondo
1. Kyrie Irving
1. Tony Parker
1. Steve Nash
1. Mike Conley
1. Jrue Holiday
1. Ty Lawson
1. Ricky Rubio
1. John Wall
1. Jeff Teague
1. Kemba Walker
1. Jeremy Lin
1. George Hill
1. Goran Dragic
7. Mario Chalmers
362. Chris Duhon
Maybe we should stop jumping to conclusions.
