Ravens injury report for Super Bowl 2013: “Questionable” players expected to play

While the Ravens listed 15 as questionable on their injury report, most are expected to play in Super Bowl XLVII.

In perhaps the least revealing injury report ever, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh named each of the 15 players listed on the team's report as questionable for Sunday's Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers.

While the technical definition of questionable, by NFL rules, is that there is a 50 percent chance of a player taking the field, there seems little doubt that the majority of the players on the Ravens injury report will play. Among the supposedly questionable players are safety Ed Reed, linebacker Terrell Suggs, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and linebacker Ray Lewis.

There has been zero indication that there's even a possibility any of those four defensive stalwarts will not be in the game on Sunday, although there seems to be legitimate reason to be concerned that linebacker Dannell Ellerbe and tight end Dennis Pitta will miss the game. Though both Ellerbe and Pitta told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun that they will not miss the game.

Rounding out the list of questionables on the report for the Ravens are wide receiver Anquan Boldin, cornerback Asa Jackson, fullback Vonta Leach, linebacker Albert McClellan, defensive end Pernell McPhee, running back Bernard Pierce, safety Bernard Pollard, wide receiver David Reed and offensive lineman Marshal Yanda.
