He was attended to by the UNC training staff and coach Roy Williams. Hairston eventually made his way to the bench, but appeared to be losing consciousness.
He was then taken off the court on a stretcher. North Carolina has announced that Hairston will not return to Tuesday’s game. He will likely miss one more game, although the training staff will have to reevaluate him in the coming days. Hairston was able to return to the UNC bench early in the second half.
