But in tonight’s case, Irving didn’t have the time to toy with his opponents and instead took on two defenders for a heavily contested three. As the clock ticked down, Irving pump-faked to get Louis Williams in the air, drawing the help defense from Josh Smith, who then tried to contest Irving’s shot.
But it didn’t matter, and Irving drained the three. The shot took the Cavaliers from down two to a one-point lead.
I’m beginning to think opposing teams should consider putting all their players on the court at once to defend Kyrie Irving.
