No. 2 Michigan vs. Nebraska final score: Wolverines pull away for 62-47 win

Michigan remains one of three undefeated teams in the country.

Gregory Shamus

In a slow-paced and often ugly game, Michigan did what it needed to in order to knock off Nebraska at home, 62-47. The team’s 16-0 start matches the best in school history.

The win was fueled by yet another strong performance from freshman Glenn Robinson III, who finished with 14 points and six rebounds. Player of the Year candidate Trey Burke finished with 18 points of his own.

A lackluster offensive first half for Michigan allowed Nebraska to stay in the game. The Wolverines held just a 25-20 lead at the break.

While Michigan only shot 38.9 percent from the field for the game, it was enough to get the job done. The Wolverines made up for their poor shooting by getting to the foul line 19 more times than Nebraska.

The win was the 400th Division I victory for John Beilein.

Now more than halfway through their regular-season schedule with a perfect record, the Wolverines will have their toughest test of the season on Saturday when they travel to Ohio State.

Meanwhile, Nebraska looks for its first Big Ten win of the season at Michigan State on Sunday.
