No. 11 Florida cruises past Georgia for a 77-44 win

The game was never really in doubt as Florida won its SEC opener.

USA TODAY Sports

Florida opened up its SEC schedule on Wednesday night with a cakewalk, as it easily defeated Georgia, 77-44. An ugly season got worse for Georgia, which recorded a season-low point total.

While the Gators spread around the scoring in the victory, they were led by senior Mike Rosario, who finished with 19 points. As a team, Florida shot 52.7 percent from the field.

It was never much of a game, as the Gators held a 28-15 lead at the half. The lopsided final score was fueled by 19 turnovers for the Bulldogs.

The win continues a perfect season at home for Billy Donovan's crew.

After picking up a win in its SEC opener, Florida will face a tougher test on Saturday at LSU, who is 9-2.

As for the Bulldogs, they will play the only team in the conference with less wins then themselves when they host Mississippi State on Saturday.
