With Juan Manuel Marquez having had a good first round, Timothy Bradley’s corner told him he had to get it going in the second round of their fight. The crowd continued supporting Marquez with loud chants between and during the rounds.

Marquez landed a hard shot early in the round and Bradley responded with a low blow.
Marquez appeared to be zeroing in with his power punches and did appear to bother Bradley with a good shot, but Bradley responded with a good counter hook and a big right hand moments later.
Bradley’s speed was playing into the fight as he hoped as the round continued, with Bradley sneaking in some good counters and body shots. Marquez stayed aggressive, landing his own hard punches, and then the two men exchanged in a violent flurry against the ropes as the round came to an end.
Bradley likely won on some harder shots.
