Each of the first three rounds for Timothy Bradley’s fight with Juan Manuel Marquez had been competitive and showed an evolving strategic battle. Marquez came out for the fourth round with a load of Vaseline covering his face and body, the ref quickly pausing the action to have his corner clean him off.

Both men then threw some heavy shots that missed as the action resumed. Marquez started to land a series of body shots.
Marquez then landed a hard right in the final minute that sent Bradley back and then worked another series of body shots to counter Bradley’s action.
Bradley slowed down a little bit late in the round and Marquez kept up the pace, possibly winning it on the official scorecards and definitely winning it on the SB Nation scorecards, but still could have gone the other way.
