Santonio Holmes sits out practice, fantasy owners will have to wait
The Jets wide receiver is not practicing on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Since being acquired by the Jets prior to the 2010 season, Holmes has never really become the fantasy stud many experts thought he would be as a clear-cut number one option in New York. Although he has missed a fair amount of games during his tenure with the team, his performances are partly to blame on the Jets’ lack of stability at the quarterback position over the years.
Luckily for Holmes, Geno Smith has put together some promising games as the Jets' offensive leader this season. Hopefully that translates to more success for Holmes once he gets back from what initially was diagnosed as a 2-3 week injury.
In Holmes' absence, teammate Jeremy Kerley stepped up to the plate in Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons, catching five passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. He'll continue to be the player to add of the healthy Jets receivers while Holmes and Stephen Hill (concussion) work their way back to full strength.
