Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick will miss an undetermined period of time while recovering from a groin strain, the team announced Thursday afternoon.
Jonathan Quick injury: Kings goalie diagnosed with groin strain
Jonathan Quick will immediately begin rehabilitation on a groin strain.

The injury was described as a Grade 2 groin strain and was identified after Quick underwent an MRI on Wednesday. He is expected to begin rehabilitation immediately. The injury was sustained during the overtime portion of the team's 3-2 loss against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night.
Quick returned to Los Angeles after the game, and head coach Darryl Sutter explained that the goaltender wouldn’t be available for the remainder of the team’s four-game road trip, via NHL.com:
“Our trainers think it’s either a hamstring or groin-related, so it’s a muscle [injury]. He’s not going to play on this trip, so he might as well be home and we make sure we know what it is and then go from there.”
Backup Ben Scrivens is expected to start against the New York Islanders on Thursday night. It's the second game of the four-game swing.
