The first 35 races of the 2013 NASCAR season are in the books and now Jimmie Johnson is just 267 laps away from a championship. Johnson leads the Chase for the Sprint Cup by 28 points, needing to finish 24th or better to win the Chase for a sixth time.

Matt Kenseth looked strong early in the Chase, but Johnson took control over the final few races. Even with Johnson in the lead, the standings remained close heading into the race last week. Johnson finished third at Phoenix, extending his lead over Kenseth, who finished 23rd. The result increased Johnson’s lead by 21 points, likely sealing the Sprint Cup victory.

Johnson is such a heavy favorite to win the Chase heading into the race on Sunday that some oddsmakers pulled his odds off the board, according to Sporting News. That doesn’t mean the Chase is over, however, especially when you consider Johnson’s lack of success at Homestead. The track is one of five Johnson’s never won at during his career. He finished 36th at Homestead last season and 32nd the year before. A similar finish on Sunday, combined with a strong finish by Kenseth could have the Chase coming down to the wire.

Viewers will have a few options to follow the race, beginning with ESPN’s live coverage. The network’s pre-race show will begin at 2 p.m. ET, leading up to the live race coverage at 3 p.m. The pre-race show and live broadcast will also be available online for those with access to WatchESPN.

In addition to ESPN’s pre-race show, Fox Sports 1 will also have coverage leading up to the race with its pre-race show scheduled to begin at noon. Radio coverage will be available on Motor Racing Network, beginning at 2 p.m., while viewers with subscriptions to NASCAR RaceBuddy will have access to live online streams during the race.
