A-League week 8 squad lists

Harry Kewell is the big story as Melbourne Heart try to win for the first time this season. Western Sydney Wanderers lose their star in Shinji Ono for their trip to New Zealand while Sydney FC will have to deal with a double suspension blow in defense.

Round 8 of the A-League begins on Friday night with an important match between Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Victory. There has been quite a lot of off-field news for the Mariners this week with North Sydney Oval and Peter Turnbull carrying the headlines. On the park, they've got just about as healthy a squad as they'll have all year while the Victory will be without the suspended Leigh Broxham and Adrian Leijer. Perth travel to Brisbane without the services of Jacob Burns, William Gallas or Scott Jamieson while the Roar continue to be without Shane Stefanutto and Liam Miller. Suspensions for Pedj Bojic and Tiago will hamper the Sydney FC defense against resurgent Newcastle Jets on Saturday night. On Sunday, Wellington Phoenix finally look to be whole, though Jeremy Brockie is a doubt with a hamstring injury. Their opponents, Western Sydney Wanderers, will be missing Shinji Ono this week while Youssouf Hersi and Tomi Juric continue their recoveries. And the weekend's final match will finally see the return of Harry Kewell for Melbourne Heart. Jason Hoffman also returns as the bottom rung of the A-League's ladder try desperately to climb. Adelaide United will be at AAMI Park but without Jon McKain and Cassio, due to illness and a training ground injury.
