Two crazy Teddy Bridgewater plays highlight Keg of Nails

Two of the best plays of the potential No. 1 NFL Draft pick’s season came on a single drive Thursday night.

This hasn’t been Teddy Bridgewater’s best game (before this score, he was 17-of-32 with a touchdown and an interception), due in part to constant pressure and Cincinnati being able to keep two safeties high all game long. Plus several dropped passes. And other difficulties.

On a third-and-12, Bridgewater had to drag a Bearcat or two almost the entire way while skittering sideways for a first down:

While facing still more pressure (they just keep making more!) two plays later, Bridgewater pulled off what can only really be described as some Johnny Manziel business, evading about five defenders while firing an off-balance sidewinder toward the far corner of the end zone, where Damian Copeland happened to be open.

His numbers on the night are mediocre, and he hasn’t looked his best, but considering the lack of help he’s getting from his offensive line, receivers, and defense (which allowed an immediate retaliatory touchdown by UC’s Ralph David Abernathy IV), this is still all the Bridgewater we could ask for in his likely final regular-season game.
