FOX releases schedule for Games of the Week

Yankees, Red Sox games rumored to be included

FOX Sports has released the schedule for their Saturday games, and you can read the press release here. On June 8, you might get one of Padres/Rockies or Astros/Royals, for example, so maybe set your DVR now.

Using sabermetric principles, and possibly my fingers, I crunched the numbers to see which teams are getting the most national love from FOX.

Nine appearances
Red Sox
Reds
Nationals

Eight appearances
Braves
Tigers
Yankees
Dodgers
Cardinals

Seven appearances
White Sox
Angels
Mets
Rangers

Six appearances
Cubs
Brewers
A’s
Phillies
Pirates
Giants

Five appearances
Orioles
Rays

Four appearances
Astros
Twins

Three appearances
Diamondbacks
Marlins

Two appearances
Indians
Rockies
Padres
Mariners

One appearance
Royals

No appearances
Blue Jays

I’m assuming the Blue Jays’ snub is some sort of Canada thing, where FOX can’t black out the games in a different country ... heck, I don’t know. But it would be weird if FOX just forgot about them, especially considering their offseason.

And to answer your question: Five Yankees and Red Sox games. You know you were worried.
