Look, I’m all for using classically constructed battle raps to dis my enemies and nemeses. When Jeff Sullivan left for FanGraphs, I wrote “This Ain’t No Tiff (It’s Pronounced GIF, Sucker) in a day, and recorded “You Have Sex With Beagles” the next day. But those were sick flows delicately laid over sick beats.
Trevor Bauer’s latest JAM
This, by Trevor Bauer, regarding Miguel Montero’s comments, is steaming crap. But in some strange way, I admire the fact that Bauer knows the Internet has already had its fun with his hip-hop forays, yet his first instinct when reading Montero’s comments was to say, “Gotta lay down a track. Hold on, everyone. Gotta rhyme.”
But he flows like his tongue is trying to pass a kidney stone. I wonder if there’s long toss for the mouth. See how long you can make it!
