The Indiana Pacers appear ready to part ways with talented forward Danny Granger and may do so before the Feb. 21st trade deadline, per Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld. The team has enjoyed success this season while Granger has been sidelined with a left knee injury. The emergence of Paul George may be another reason why the Pacers are ready to move Granger. This isn't the first time that Danny Granger's name has surfaced in trade rumors. However, according to multiple executives, this is the first time that the Indiana Pacers have actually considered moving the 29-year-old forward. In the past, the Pacers have made it clear that Granger wasn't going anywhere and rival executives echoed that sentiment after their inquiries about Granger were shot down by Indiana...
There has been no mention of possible suitors for Granger, but with him being a career 18.2 point-per-game scorer it should not be hard to find takers. Granger’s salary this season is $13 million and he is set to make $14 million for the 2012-13 season -- and that is the last year of his deal.

There could be some concerns with Granger’s play, as the knee injury is there and his points per game totals have dipped in recent years from his career high of 25.8 points per game during the 2008-09 season. It will be interesting to see if the Pacers choose to deal Granger before the deadline.
