The Boston Celtics are exploring trade options for veteran Paul Pierce and the team is looking for expiring contracts and draft picks, per Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.
Paul Pierce trade rumors: Celtics looking for cap space, picks in deal
The Celtics are popping up in trade rumors all over the place today.

Mannix mentions that the asking price on Pierce makes a move “unlikely”, but general manager Danny Ainge is exploring possible deals. There have been reports that if Pierce is moved, that Boston could look to trade Kevin Garnett, too. With Rajon Rondo out with an ACL injury, the team is exploring all options.
Pierce has spent his entire career with the Celtics and is averaging 18.4 points on 41-percent shooting -- his lowest shooting percentage since 2003-04 -- this season. Pierce is also averaging 6.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in 54 games this season.
Pierce entered the NBA as the No. 10 pick of the 1998 draft -- out of Kansas University -- and during his 15 year NBA career he has posted averages of 21.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.
