Florida-based halfback/linebacker recruit Kobe McCrary is starting to garner interest from top programs, and could be one of the sleepers of the Class of 2014. McCrary plays high school football for Chipley (Fla.) High School, just 85 miles from Tallahassee. As a sophomore in 2011, he ran for 1,631 yards and 27 touchdowns on 243 carries and recorded 77 tackles on defense, and matched those statistics as a junior, earning second team all-state honors from the Associated Press. McCrary stands 6’ tall and weighs 210 lbs.

McCrary received a three-star rating from 24/7, and has not yet been rated by Rivals, Scout, or ESPN. Nevertheless, 24/7 rates him a consensus four-star recruit. He has not received any publicized scholarship offers, but has received interest from Florida State, South Carolina, Florida, Florida International, and Louisville.

McCrary is available on Twitter at KicKobe21.
