With most programs running one-back offenses as primary sets, the need for fullbacks has greatly diminished. That hasn’t stopped some of the nation’s best football programs from pursuing Texas-based fullback Daniel Gresham, though. The 5’10, 235-lb. Gresham plays high school football for Fort Worth’s All Saints Episcopal High, where he ran for 979 yards and 18 touchdowns on 86 carries last season, averaging 11.38 yards per carry.
Daniel Gresham Recruiting Profile
The consensus top fullback in the Class of 2014
Gresham has not been rated by Rivals or ESPN, but has received a four-star rating from 24/7 and three stars from Scout. Both sites rate him as the nation’s top fullback recruit. As of February, Gresham held offers from Texas, Ole Miss, and Tennessee, with interest from Alabama, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M, among others. Gresham committed to Texas before his junior season, which has limited the number of offers he has received.
