Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler left Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Kings with an upper body injury resulting from a nasty hit by Jarret Stoll. It is not known what the extent of Fowler's injuries exactly are, with coach Bruce Boudreau stating after the game that the defenseman was still being examined by team doctors and a full update would come on Sunday.

There will be no further action by the NHL in regards to a hit that left the Ducks’ Cam Fowler injured on Saturday night.

The injury came early in the second period of Anaheim’s 7-4 win over the Kings, when Stoll appeared to grab Fowler’s jersey as the two slammed into the far boards -- Fowler hitting the boards face-first and then crumpling to the ice.

There was debate as to whether Stoll would face any further action from NHL disciplinary guru Brenden Shanahan, however Lisa Dillman of the Los Angeles Times reports this morning there will be no hearing with the NHL resulting from Saturday’s game.
Fowler, who leads the Ducks with over 22 minutes of ice time per game, has one assist through six games.
