In Frank Gore's mind, the better team did not win Sunday.
Super Bowl XLVII: Frank Gore says Niners were the better team
The veteran running back said his team could have run over the Ravens “all day.”

The San Francisco 49ers running back said the Baltimore Ravens "got away with one" when they came away Super Bowl champions with a 34-31 victory on Sunday night, according to ESPN:
“It’s tough,” the Niners star running back said. “I just feel like we [were] the better team. They got away with one today. We showed we were the better team. It was just a couple plays here, a couple plays there.”

“I think we’re the better team,” Gore said. “[I’m] just happy the way we kept fighting. Any other team probably would’ve just laid down, and we let people know what type of guys we’ve got in the locker room, type of warriors we are. It just didn’t happen for us today.”
Gore finished as Super Bowl XLVII’s leading rusher. He carried the ball 19 times for 110 yards and a touchdown. Gore said he and the Niners “could’ve ran on them all day.”
The 49ers finished with 182 total rushing yards, with Colin Kaepernick picking up 62 yards and a score on seven carries.
The 49ers might have been the better team overall Sunday, but they weren’t the better team in the first half. The Ravens went up 28-6 to start the second half before the Niners’ offense seemingly showed up, finally cutting the score in the fourth quarter to 31-29.
For the first time since 2006, Gore played in all 16 regular season games in 2012. He rushed for 1,214 yards and eight touchdowns.
