Veteran goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff has been such a rock in net for the Calgary Flames for so long, it's impossible to imagine what the team will be like without him. After the 36-year went down on Tuesday night with a lower-body injury, however, the Flames are quickly going to find out.
Miikka Kiprusoff injured, Flames turn to Leland Irving
The Flames netminder will be re-evaluated on Wednesday after suffering a lower-body injury on Tuesday night.

Kiprusoff played just two periods in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings before being forced to leave the game with an undisclosed lower-body injury. The Finnish netminder has played in at least 70 games for the Flames in each of the past seven seasons.
“He’s going to be re-evaluated (Wednesday). I can’t tell you any more,” Flames coach Bob Hartley said after the game.
Roger Millions of Sportsnet reportsthat the Flames will practice with Leland Irving in net and will add a goaltender not currently on the roster later on Wednesday. Irving, a first round pick in the 2006 draft for the Flames, has been touted as a contender to be the future in goal for Calgary once Kiprosoff's time is up.
The 24-year old goaltender was 2-3-1 in six games with Abbotsford Heat of the AHL during the lockout, with a 3.72 goals-against average and .871 save percentage. Irving stopped all six shots faced in relief of Kiprusoff on Tuesday night.
