The Bucknell Bison clinched a berth in the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday evening with a 64-56 victory over Lafayette in the Patriot League final. Center Mike Muscala led Bucknell with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bison were led by Patriot League Player of the Year Mike Muscala, who finished the evening with 20 points and 11 rebounds. It was the third time in five games that Muscala had scored at least 20 points. Forward Joe Willman added 14 points for Bucknell, which will advance to its first NCAA Tournament since 2011, where the team lost its opener to eventual champion Connecticut.
For the Leopards, it was a disappointing finish to a season which saw them enter Wednesday’s game on a seven-game win streak. Included in that run was a Feb. 16 victory over these same Bucknell Bison.
Guard Joey Ptasinksi led Lafayette with 15 points off the bench, while Bryce Scott had 13 and Tony Johnson added 11.
Lafayette finishes the season at 19-15 overall.
