The Grambling State Tigers finished a winless 2012-2013 season on Wednesday night with a first-round SWAC Tournament loss to Alabama A&M. The Tigers dropped to 0-28 following the 59-51 defeat.

A pair of guards led Alabama A&M to victory, highlighted by junior Brandon Ellis' 19 points. Fellow junior Demarquelle Tabb added 15 points and 15 rebounds, as Alabama A&M advances to play the top seed in the tournament, the Southern Jaguars, on Friday. Texas Southern won the regular season SWAC title, but is ineligible for postseason play.
For Grambling State, it was another disappointing loss in a season in which they lost every game by at least 10 points up until Wednesday night.
The Tigers were led by freshman Terry Rose, who finished the evening as Grambling's only double-figure scorer with 22 points. Guard Brandon Dorsett added seven points, while center Peter Roberson chipped in six for the Tigers.
