Kobe Bryant injury: Lakers star out vs. Pacers after scoreless 1st half

Kobe Bryant is inhuman, but he’s not that inhuman.

Kevin C. Cox

It seemed crazy that Kobe Bryant would play so soon after sustaining the worst ankle sprain in his career. Anyone who's followed his career for a minute knows his toughness and determination to win but, were it anyone else, his sanity would be in question.

Still, Bryant did return, just two days after Dahntay Jones impeded his landing after a jump shot late in the game against the Hawks.

It hasn't been pretty, though Bryant played the whole first quarter. He had a rebound and a couple assists but missed all four of his shot attempts. After the first half ended, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell revealed the team will rest Kobe for the remainder of the game.

So maybe he is human after all. A little bit, anyway.
