If you’ve ever had a question about running, or training, or triathlons, or exercise, or why people are running around barefoot, Eric Orton probably has the answer.
SB Nation Chats with Eric Orton, world-renowned running coach
SB Nation is hosting a live-chat with Eric Orton, author, runner and coach. If you have questions about running, fitness or what those weird glove-like shoes more and more people are wearing, Eric has the answers. Join us!

Orton earned international notoriety as the coach of Christopher McDougall, a relationship that initially began with Orton helping McDougall overcome running injuries and eventually developed into training McDougall for the 50-mile Copper Canyon Ultra marathon with the Tarahumara Indians. That story served as the foundation for McDougall’s 2009 best-selling book, “Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen.”
Now Orton has his own book, “The Cool Impossible: The Coach from “Born to Run” Shows How to Get the Most from Your Miles-And From Yourself,” set for release on May 7. It will feature Orton’s “wealth of knowledge in an inspiring step-by-step guide that will open up a new world of achievement for runners of all levels of ability and experience.”
But first, he will join us in the comments below to answer your questions about running, fitness, training and more.
