eBay Item of the Day: Another get-rich scheme foiled

I used to work at a publishing house in New York and one day, I found a stack of these American League Red Books (along with some National League Green Books). They were all from the mid-‘80s and were in a pile of stuff that was to be tossed out. I grabbed them and lugged them home on the train, my mind racing forward to the day in the far future when they would be priceless collectibles and I would cash in on my foresight.

Instead, this one’s going for $6.50. Most from this era sell for less than that. The moral of the story? Don’t save anything.
