NBA schedule: Jazz host Nets, Lakers visit Kings in race for playoff spot in West

Among the key NBA games on Saturday, the Utah Jazz face a tough home game against the Brooklyn Nets while trying to stay a step ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers, who play at Sacramento.

As the NBA season draws to a close, important games are played nightly as valuable playoff spots in both conferences remain undecided.

In the do-or-die race for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference, the Utah Jazz slipped ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers with a win on Friday night. On Saturday, both teams are in action with the Jazz hosting the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are also playing on a back-to-back after losing to the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

The Lakers will be on the road as they visit the Sacramento Kings. Kobe Bryant is dealing with a bone spur in his left foot but is listed as probable for the game.

Among the key games for the Eastern Conference standings, the Indiana Pacers can slip a half game ahead of the New York Knicks with a road win over the Phoenix Suns. A win by the Pacers will also move them closer to clinching the Central Division over the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have an afternoon road game at the Dallas Mavericks starting at 2 PM ET.
