‘60 Minutes’ to introduce R.A. Dickey to your grandma on Sunday
Reigning NL Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey will tell his comeback story (again) on CBS Sunday.

60 Minutes, the show notorious for keeping the elderly afoot of whatever the young people are doing with their Internets and their music-phones and whatnot, will do a feature story on the reigning National League Cy Young-winner this Sunday at 7 p.m. ET. Dickey spoke to 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl about the man himself, and the pitch that has revitalized his career.
The show will also feature an interview with Dickey’s wife, Anne, and a visit to the pitcher’s childhood home in Nashville. Dickey also speaks out about his trade from New York to Toronto with candor and good humor, according to a press release:
“I don’t think I was hurt as I just was sad about it because [New York] is the place that I came to redeem my career,” says Dickey, who can joke about the trade, too. “I had finally had a parking space, you know,” he says with a laugh. “Which took me, what? Fourteen years to get a parking space.”
