The city of Boston will try to get back to normal on Saturday, but there will be a little extra attention on the city’s sports teams.
NHL Network, MLB Network to show Bruins, Sox return to action
Both networks will showcase the city of Boston supporting its sports teams and trying to get back to normal.

With a manhunt having ended last night with the successful capture of the second Boston Marathon bombing suspect, the city starts to get back up and running. While the Celtics are in New York to start a first round playoff series with the Knicks on ABC, the Bruins and the Red Sox have regular season games at home. Those two games will garner national attention as well.
NHL Network will televise this afternoon’s Penguins vs. Bruins game at 12:30 p.m. ET, while MLB Network will showcase today’s Royals vs. Red Sox tilt at 1 p.m. ET. MLB Net’s coverage will feature a half-hour pre-game show at 12:30. Greg Amsinger will host, with analysts Kevin Millar and Harold Reynolds.
Both networks had, somewhat coincidentally, been scheduled to televised two games featuring these teams last night, before their post-ponement. NHL Network had Penguins-Bruins on their original schedule. MLB Network, on the other hand, had added Friday night’s Royals-Sox game specifically to showcase the team’s return to Boston.
