Brian Scott was just planning on talking to Nelson Piquet Jr. about an on-track disagreement the two had in Friday’s Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway. Piquet wasn’t interested in talking, and he proceeded to shove Scott and then kick him in the groin.

A post-race skirmish on pit road following Friday’s Nationwide Series race saw one driver kick another in the groin.

Yes, a NASCAR driver kicked another on pit road in an area where no man ever wants to be kicked.
Somewhere, Cale Yarborough and Bobby Allison are shaking their heads.
Scott and Piquet, who both say they have a prior history with one another stemming from when they raced in the Truck Series, were racing 15th when their animosity resurfaced. In an interview with ESPN, Scott referred to the move as “chicken.”
The bitterness between the two drivers didn’t end on pit road, however. According to the USA Today, two crew members of Scott’s Richard Childress Racing team were taken into custody following an altercation with someone from Piquet’s Turner Motorsports team. The confrontation occurred in the driver motorhome lot at Richmond at approximately 11:15 p.m.
In a statement, RCR confirmed to USA Today that there was an incident involving two of their personnel.
“We are aware an incident took place outside of the track’s infield following Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway involving members of our team and others from another team,” an RCR team spokesman said. “We are cooperating with the local authorities in this matter.”
